In addition to their yearly retreat, seniors may choose to participate in one of three Kairos retreats held throughout the school year. The ancient Greeks had two words for time. Chronos refers to chronological or sequential time, while kairos signifies a time in between, a moment of indeterminate length when something special happens.

The Kairos program typically begins after school on Tuesday and ends early Friday evening. The retreat is held at the Marianist Family Retreat Center in Cape May, NJ. From 20 to 40 students attend led by a team composed of six or seven Kairos alumni and six faculty members. Based on the spiritual exercise of St. Ignatius Loyola, Kairos retreats have proven beneficial to our seniors who have participated as well as to the faculty who accompany them during this special time. The Kairos Retreats for the Class of 2017 will be held as follows:

Kairos Dates Mandatory Parent Meeting
Kairos XXIII October 11-14, 2016 To Be Determined
Kairos XXIV February 14-17, 2017 To Be Determined
