Clubs and Activities

Co-curricular activities are an extension of the strong academic program offered at St. Rose. Students who participate in clubs and activity programs tend to have higher grade point averages and develop self-confidence, social cooperation, and leadership skills (National Federation of High Schools 1999).

St. Rose High School offers over 25 co-curricular clubs and activities to complement student learning in the classroom. With opportunities that develop character, critical thinking, social skills, and talents, clubs and activities at SRHS support our mission to help our students be responsible and fulfilled human beings.

Co-curricular activities also provide students with a network of peers and adults who have interests and talents similar to their own. Students who participate have the chance to excel individually, be part of a group, and gain real-life lessons about the importance of teamwork, responsibility, commitment, and hard work (Educational Research Service 1999).

Student Council

Student Council is an elected position. Each class elects four officers: President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer as well as a Homeroom Representative from each homeroom. Students serving on Student Council must be model students; maintain a strong academic record; have no disciplinary issues; and make a commitment to attending all events and meetings. All students serve on Student Council at the discretion of the administration.
