The St. Rose High School Campus Ministry Team values and supports the spiritual lives of the community members. The campus ministry team coordinates the spiritual components of life at St. Rose. A St. Rose education is grounded in religious faith and values. Students develop a clear understanding of the content and meaning of the liturgy, empowering them with the discipline, reverence, wonder and contemplation necessary to serve as Christian role models.
Morning Prayer and Class Prayer
Each day and each class at St. Rose begins with prayer. Students, faculty and staff are invited to consider leading the school community in morning prayer each day. The leader of prayer selects and prepares the prayer and has the option of selecting a favorite prayer or reflection or creating an original composition.
Book of Prayer
The Book of Prayer is located outside of the chapel in the 100's corridor. Students, faculty and staff are invited to recommend intentions. These intentions are held by the community in prayer each day during morning prayer, weekly at the Wednesday liturgy, and during our school liturgical services.
Liturgy and Liturgical Services
School communal prayer services follow the liturgical calendar. As a faith community, students, faculty and staff gather to celebrate the feasts of All Saints Day, Advent, Christmas, Ash Wednesday, Lent, Easter, and Ascension Thursday. In addition to these, the SRHS community gathers for liturgy at the opening of the school year, the Thanksgiving holiday, Catholic Schools Week and the closing of school.
Students, faculty and staff are also invited to the celebration of the Eucharist each Thursday morning at 8:00 AM in the school chapel. Homerooms, clubs, and teams are invited to attend a specific Thursday liturgy allowing for every student and organization to participate as a group at least once throughout the school year.
