ATHLETIC DIRECTOR'S CORNER

As a coach I used to always tell my teams that championships are won in the off season. Put in the time now and the reward will come during the season. Helpful tips: A little bit goes a long way - Even if you can't make all summer workouts, go for a jog or do some sports specific training on your own. 20 minutes a day is all it takes sometimes. Get in shape now - Don't use pre-season as a means to get in shape. Come into pre-season in great condition. It will make your life easier and make you stand out from other. Finally - Give it your all!! You might not make the team you wanted this year. The reality is, some players might just be more talented. However, you can control your effort and your determination. Never stop trying and don't ever give up.

Good Luck to all athletes and use these summer months to get ready for a great 2016/2017 year!!
