The Campus Minister functions as spiritual mentor and coordinator for St. Rose High School tending to the personal, spiritual, and sacramental needs of our community. In cooperation with the Administration, the Campus Minister works to provide meaningful spiritual services to students, faculty, staff, and school families.

  • Coordinate Weekly Community Prayer In School Chapel

  • Coordinate Service Activities for Students
  • Promote Campus Ministry Activities and Programs
  • Student Follow-Up/Mentoring
  • Weekly Newsletter Update to Students and Parents
  • Coordinate Weekly Service in Asbury Park

  • Liturgy Planning and Prayer Services
  • Opening School Liturgy
  • Class Masses
  • Seasonal Prayer Services and Liturgy (Advent, Lent, Catholic Schools Week)
  • Holy Days of Obligation
  • Baccalaureate Mass
  • Prayer For Athletes At Start of Each Season
  • Prayer for Faculty and Parent Meetings
  • Retreat Planning
  • Class Retreats
  • Faculty Retreat
  • KAIROS Retreat for Seniors ( 3 times each year)

Other tasks not specifically listed may be required to successfully run the ministry. By nature, Campus Ministry is a fluid position, requiring flexibility, a diverse skill set, delegation to others, and cooperation. Networking is an important part of the job, and there is a high degree of social interaction required. Good time management and detail oriented planning are required.

The qualified candidate will be a practicing catholic who holds a master's degree in theology, liturgy, spirituality or related field; have a minimum of three years of experience in campus ministry; be a highly motivated and self-starter who can work independently; and possess strong oral and written communication skills as well as strong computer skills.
